POPE emissions dataset now available

The Persitant Organic Pollutants Emission model (POPE) uses different global (Wang et al. 2014A, Prevedouros et al. 2006, Armitage et al. 2008) and regional (Pistocchi and Loos 2009, Filipovic et al. 2013) inventories for PFOA and PFOS to obtain a global, gridded (0.5° x 0.5° resolution) inventory for subsequent transport modelling. For this purpose these inventories are combined with airport, population and GDP datasets, as well as local measurements (Ahrens et al. 2010, Ahrens et al. 2015, Hansson et al. 2016) and factory data (Paustenbach et al. 2009) toobtain approximate local emissions. It considers airport firefighting, fluropolymer production and diffuse emissions of products containing PFOA and PFOS. Both, emissions to air and emissions to water are considered seperately. The inventory covers the timespan from the first commercial production in 1950 up to 2020 on a yearly basis.

GFASv1.2 biomass burning emissions update up to year 2022

This version of GFAS (v1.2) provides daily averaged data based on a combination of FRP observations from two Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) instruments, one on the NASA EOS-Terra satellite and the other on the NASA EOS-Aqua satellite from 1 January 2003 to present. GFAS also provides daily estimates of smoke plume injection heights derived […]

CAMS-GLOB-BIO update, CAMS-GLOB-OCE and SOIL new climatologies

CAMS-GLOB-BIO v3.1 has been update with year 2022. Climatology covering years 2000-2020 have been released for CAMS-GLOB-OCE ans CAMS-GLOB-SOIL.

Volcanic emissions dataset now available

This data-set presents volcanic gas emission data from NOVAC, the global Network for Observation of Volcanic and Atmospheric Change. For each volcano, data from one or several NOVAC Scanning mini-DOAS instruments are combined with meteorological information to derive daily statistics of total SO2 emission from the volcano. The gas emission is calculated using the ScanDOAS […]
